Our History
Our church began as an Indian (Keralite) oriented community known as South India Assembly of God in 1992. Soon thereafter, the church became affiliated with the New York District Assemblies of God. With the direction of the Holy Spirit and vision given to the leadership, we became affiliated with the General Council of The Assemblies of God in 1998 and changed our name to Salem Assembly of God (SAG), as called today.
Our Beginning
Started as South India Assembly of God, serving the Keralite community.
New Chapter
Affiliated with the General Council and renamed to Salem Assembly of God.
First Home
Purchased our first house of worship in Elmont, dedicated to God in 2002.
The church is invested in the development of youth, training and building them into a generation that works towards the expansion of the kingdom of God. We have a mission in our hearts to prepare our community, city, and the country for HIS second coming. If you are looking for a place to worship God in true spirit, without any boundaries, we heartily welcome you to our church. Thank you for visiting us!
